
Squirrels building nests in the wrong neighborHOOD
Sure, we've all heard of squirrels (and other animals) getting under the hoods of cars to escape wintry weather...but in the horrendous heat of summer? Yep, it happened. And it wasn't noticed until AFTER the person had driven a number of miles and noticed a funny sound and smell. Hood opened in the hot August Maryland heat and a nest with a baby squirrel on top. The Miracle Sisters
Two different women called about 2 hours apart yesterday afternoon,saying they'd found baby squirrels. Just by coincidence they both arrived at ACG&SWC at the same time. While we were all talking, it comes out that they both live in Linthicum. And as they talked some more, they find out that both squirrels were found a few feet from each other, so they are surely from the same litter. In all my years rehabbing, never had anything like that happen. They are a little emaciated
