Shepherd's Hooks Bird Hangars (and Feeders Enclosed by Cages) Cause Fatal Injuries

This story is from Carolina Waterfowl Rescue's Facebook page. It is an URGENT awareness announcement to ensure these hooks are SAFELY ALTERED or REMOVED to literally save the lives of birds (that are being attracted to them by the feeders).

Birds, landing on these hooks, slide down them and may wedge a foot between the hook and pole. In an effort to extract themselves they will break their limbs with dire consequences.

Feeders enclosed by cages are also deadly. Use a platform feeder instead.
